144 Allergy sufferers where selected for a random, double blind-placebo controlled clinical trial in 1986 to identify the effects of Homeopathic Remedies containing Mixed Grass Pollen 30C (1986) by a hospital based in Glasgow, Scotland (Glasgow Homeopathic Hospital, with the assistance of the Department of Bacteriology and Immunology of Glasgow University).

The individuals that were randomly selected needed to have one common item; Seasonal rhinitis (Hayfever) that had persisted for two years or more. Numerous individual which made up the 144 were selected to have the placebo, on a double blind basis whilst others were given variations of twelve diverse species of grasses found in the United Kingdom.

Daily pollen counts were also identified during this study to negate any outside influences.

The results showed positive improvement:

  • Patients given the Homeopathic formulation containing any of the 12 diverse grasses showed a faster reduction of allergy symptoms.
  • The need for antihistamines to alleviate symptoms decreased by 50%

All these findings are according to the report published, “the observed effects of homeopathic treatment are a contemporary statement of an empirical puzzle in its third century and represents a confusing challenge to orthodox scientific models’.

Results of these findings can be found in the British Medical Associations official Journal ‘The Lancet’, under the following title ‘Is Homeopathy a Placebo Response? Controlled Trial of Homeopathic Potency with Pollen in Hayfever’ and helps ascertain the effectiveness of ingredients found in the SinusWars1, Hayfever and Allergies Remedy found online at

History of Homeopathy

March 17, 2010

The founder of homeopathy is known as Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann. A man who came upon homeopathy during the years that he was translating medical and scientific textbooks.

He came upon the idea of developing the theory and methods of Homeopathy when he was converting an English book called “A Treatise on Materia Medica” to German, written by Scottish physician William Cullen.

In this book William Cullen mentioned that quinine which is made from Peruvian bark could be taken to strengthen the stomach. He himself a doctor would not agree with this, so decided to test it for himself. He took Peruvian bark two times a day and started to develop malaria symptoms. When he stopped taking the Peruvian bark his malaria symptoms stopped as well. This is where the principal of similars was born.

Like cures like, this is what the principal of similars are. Simply explained:

Substance in original, crude form + healthy person = experience illness

Substance in diluted form (homeopathically prepared) + ill person = healing

Two other men have had an idea of what homeopathy is, even before Samuel Hahnemann was born.

These men include:

Aristotle: according to speculation this man, born almost 2394 years ago, was also moving forward with the dogma that like cures like. He had an idea that if a microorganism which causes disease, works against a remedy that has a microorganism which causes disease in it, would then cancel each other out and bring the ill person back to health.

Another was Paracelsus: a physician born about 510 years ago who believed that diseases were caused by poisons. He believed that these poisons were not harmful by design, what determined a dangerous nature would either be the way related substances work with each other or how much of the poison was there. Paracelsus’s had a view that infections and sickness were caused by something outside the body. He was believed to be the founder of chemical and mineral medicine because he believed that there was a chemical remedy for every ailment.

Samuel Hahnemann over the ensuing years published many books after testing countless substances. Homeopathy even after all these verifications, research, development and clinical tests, not to mention the thousands of people around the world who have been successfully treated with homeopathy is still questioned and tried and yet is still curing and treating many people, all the while leaving conventional doctors dumbfounded!

In history Homeopathy has had a massive impact on medicine. Homeopathic hospitals were opened and homeopathic doctors had better patient successes than the physicians of the time.

Homeopathy even today is doing marvelous things for people’s health as more and more people are looking towards safer, natural and side effect free medicine. ♠
